“Take Me Home Country Roads” by John Denver

My grandpa was a huge John Denver fan. My parents worked until late so instead of going home to a babysitter we would just go to my grandparents until my mom got home, so I saw them literally every day (they’d even come to our house for Sunday breakfast every week). When my grandpa passed, they played John Denver’s greatest hits all through the wake and beginning of the funeral. This song happens to be one we’d always have a good time singing, and I think of them everytime it plays.
